Australian cellist, Linda Hwang, is a recent masters graduate from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Prior to her move to the US, she studied with Dr. Meta Weiss during her undergraduate studies and as an active chamber musician, received mentorships from members of distinguished ensembles such as the Takacs Quartet, the Brodsky Quartet, and the Jerusalem Quartet. Outside of the classical department, she enjoyed versatile engagements including studio work and interdisciplinary collaborations with contemporary artists. Her graduate studies with Rhonda Rider included masterclasses with Peter Stumpf, Thomas Mesa and Andrew Mark, as well as mentorships with Latitude 49 and Shulamit Ran.

Based in Boston, Linda is a freelance musician and engages in a variety of projects including chamber performances, orchestral and pit work, and recording sessions. Linda is the assistant principal cellist of the Du Bois Orchestra, and is a cellist with Analog By Choice. An enthusiastic educator, Linda is a teaching artist for the Boston Music Project and teaches private instruction for Brookline Public Schools.
